Duplicate selection

Hello

I’m wondering how to select a part of a layer (with lasso or rectangular), and duplicate and move the selection within the same layer. In photoshop it’s cmd alt left click, for the moment in Krita I need to copy, paste (it creates a new layer, which I don’t want), move with the Move tool, and merge the new layer with the original one… which seems a bit tedious :wink: I must be missing something

You’re not ‘missing something’, it’s how krita works.
