Krita 5.2.2 update 'Fatal Error' on chromebook

Hello! First time here, so sorry if I’m asking this in the wrong place… I updated Krita recently, and now it won’t open. The app will boot up, but before the usual open screen appears I’ll instead receive the message box “Your application encountered a fatal error and cannot continue” and will shut down right after.
