Is there any setting to make the file dialogs (Open, Save, Export…) add, remove and display favorite folders, or at least recently used folders? Volumes? Perhaps there’s a plugin for that? I couldn’t find one.
I’m using krita on Linux and it only shows my / and user folders, not even my 712812 disk drives. I’d kill for a Blender-like file browser.

In Krita’s file dialog you can drag any folder into the side bar and it gets bookmarked. The file dialog only showing the default location is a limitation of the AppImage, I believe.
Krita has an option to use the native file dialog but that isn’t available in the AppImage
