I don’t want to take this too far off topic but if I may one or two notes.
I’m doubltful how much this will help on its own with the resource discovery.
I think Krita needs two things to get this actually going:
- Have a giant button on the front page and in the menu which says Asset Store or Plugins & Brushes or something similar which is used in other programs in general and us understood, Resources is nice but I’m not 100% sold on the word in this context.
The button takes you to the resource page if nothing else. - Have automatic way to import resources with as little clicks and dialogs as possible. Would it be possible to download through krita?
Comparison here are basically all the other apps especially mobile ones these days, the integration is more or less seemless.
(most beneficial would be some form built-in asset store but I understand that’s a long stretch.)
To sum it up, some recognizable big label/button on the front page and one in Krita’s menu which takes you to this page you discuss here at the least.
I know someone said krita page is superb resource about krita but it’s convoluted, not simple to navigate and/or understand so the click through krita directly to the resource page would make miles in this case.
