Glow Dodge Blending mode

i was studying Kame artwork when i found this interaction between the light and shadow side

I tried to replicate it manually, but without very good results, until a friend of mine pointed out that is actually a blending mode called “Glow Dodge” on CSP. Tried to experiment with all the blending modes available in krita, and looks like the closest one is “Increase Saturation HSL”. But i’m not sure if is close enough

Any advice on how is possible recreate such effect?

There’s so many blending modes in Krita it’s hard to say which would be optimal.

Colour dodge is my first instinct. There are many modes aimed at lighting effects such as Hard Light, Soft Light, Vivid Light.

I mostly use Hard Overlay as a general adjustment and effects mode - it’s capable of this kind of effect, but more complex to use than a singular focused mode like dodge.

You could also just paint it that way on normal - you don’t have to rely on effects!

edit: There is also this new mode available in the Beta that might be suitable: I create a new blending mode to mock [light on albedo]/[HDR paiting],is anyone interested?

I think Linear Light could be pretty close because it combines dodge with burn, what seems to be happening there.
