I’m new to Krita and recently learned about the G’MIC filter. I’ve been using it for version 4.4.6 and it has worked rather well. I recently updated to version 4.4.7 and I got the following error message when I activate it:
This problem has been noted before, fairly recently:
I think that G’MIC has updated itself with a bad update,
The updates are stored in a particular folder and will therefore be applied to any ‘replacement’ G’MIC package you try.
I think you can delete the contents of that folder, if you can find it, then disconnect from the internet, run krita and the G’MIC filter and turn off its update ability in the settings/options.
Then you can reconnect to the internet.
Please read that topic linked above to get a better understanding of it.
Thank you for directing me to this thread. I fixed the issue by following their instructions, which are to download G’MIC files from the developer’s website and then install manually, as discussed in the thread. Now the filter is working again.
