I’m trying to find a good free place to put all my art in like a website.

Wix is pretty good. It was a bit complex to set up though. I hope you liked my gallery! Did you get to read the 2 blog posts? ![]()
Yes!! They taught me a lot! ![]()
This is my personal website. It’s no place to upload artworks. And it’s also not free, I pay for the server and the domain.
What about DeviantArt? It’s regrettable, that its current owners favor AI-generated contents above everything else, not only the DA users’ well-being. But why not have non-AI contents over there, anyway?
It’s not as good as it used to be. I’m Gymnart on that site btw but I don’t visit there much now-a-days.
At least I had fun at the forum of DA recently.
Yes, it used to be fun.
I forgot to use the word “recently” in the reply.
Like it was written in a post at the YouTube channel of Art Fight, DeviantArt needs what blogger Charles Hugh Smith calls a French-style revolution, by which he means a tumultuous reset of how resources and power are distributed.
If you are looking for something free, Tumblr and BlueSky are probably the most artist friendly social media sites. But if you want something more gallery like, There’s ArtStation and Deviant art, but both have their own issues, especially Deviant Art as previously mentioned.
I recently joined NewGrounds and realized it is a very cool platform for artists, it’s mainly for digital and character focused art, but that’s what I like about it.
I’ve never heard of ArtStation, can you share the weblink?
Mostly for Professional artists looking for jobs, it is a good portfolio website. But I wouldn’t expect to get much community interaction there.
Deviant art uses all uploads to train their Dream AI without any way to opt out. And its hard to find real art between all the slop (this is why I deleted all my uploads on DA).
@ArtAvenue same with BlueSky and most other social networks that facilitate AI. I think tumblr is still okay.
@BadGirl2023 I know you’re looking for free stuff but having a website doesn’t have to be expensive. Mine cost only 12 bucks a year (but I do all the stuff myself). There are also sites that offer website builders like Squarespace (not a fan personally). If you want to plug into an existing community (anime, furry or something specific like my littel pony for example), find where the communities flock to and join there, there are normally existing websites where you can post art.
If you want to hand over the intellectual property rights on your works to someone else DA is perfect …

Okay but I don’t understand what this has to do with this topic in any way.
Thanks!!
Well, if you want you can close it. I have the info I need. ![]()
Take a look below my posting, this topic closes automatically after that time of being inactive. This is implemented for most categories and the inactive waiting time to closing down the topics will vary.
A forum is not a one human show, and others may have further questions or want to give more information on it, so maybe something others may profit from - and that is what forums are for, to provide a place where users create “an ever-growing stack of searchable knowledge” where everyone has the chance to find answers to their questions, or ask new ones when they can not find the wanted answer.

Okay, thanks! (I’m still figuring out how everything works here, I hope I’m not a nuisance!
