Help! brush broken after update

hello! so recently i just updated krita to the newest version (5.1.4) and my previous version was 5.1.0 beta, in that version i created this brush that i really liked and have been using for 2 months now. but after the update the brush broke and now are in a different shape and feel! idk what to do, should i revert back to the previous version?

sadly i dont have a screenshot of what the previous brush looked like or the settings (so far they are the same, like the flow and such) but i do have a WIP drawing using said brush. any help would be appreciated!!!

Can you revert back to previous version and check if the brush behaves the same? Do you have a copy of the brush somewhere? Please upload it to some cloud drive and link here so that others can test it.

i reverted back to it, and it works like nothing ever happened. its super odd.
(i use the beta1 of 5.1.0)

Using this plugin should fix it:

Brush Fixer for brushes created in Krita 5.1 beta 1

Krita 5.1 beta 1 has a bug in saving brushes, I made a plugin that converts the brush presets created in that version to brush presets readable by Krita 5.0.0-5.0.6 and Krita 5… beta2 and future versions. If you haven’t saved any brushes in Krita 5.1. beta 1 version, maybe not even used beta1 version, then you don’t need this plugin. it isnt 100% the exact same because i only had the old version of the brush and i do need to do some minimal tweaking later but hey, its better than to remade the whole thing and it works! thanks alot!

(currently im using my laptop, hence the different windows version from the other screenshots)
