i have a new requests, For example, when i holding a key ( like “~” or “ALT” ) it can change to Eraser ( with 100% opacity ), and when released, i t will become the original brush,
What I mean is that when you holding it, you erase it. When you release it turns into original brush.
and Now, the shortcut key(“e”) is to press once to switch
Maybe this plugin? Haven’t use it yet, but according to the description, it support eraser switch.
I guess, this includes two feature requests. One for an eraser that is detached from the actual brush and second for an option to act upon a pressed key.
You can upvote my feature request for a dedicated eraser tool. This should take care of the first request … Feature request for dedicated Eraser Tool
haha , I download and it worked , but it keep the original brush and preserve alpha, so it is not suitable. My ideal is Eraser tool with 100% opacity ![]()
yes, that is what i want
Maybe you want something like this?
https://forum.kde.org/viewtopic.php?f=137&t=151117&hilit=Direct+Eraser#p396917
It is a Plugin, and he calls it “Krita Direct Eraser Plugin”.
It is still downloadable, should it be removed in the future, just ask me, and I’ll put it in my Cloud. But don’t ask me how it works, I’m using the eraser-function from Krita itself.
BTW, it is not holding and releasing a key, but may be near the thing you want.

A plugin called Shortcut composer can do this (as well as other very nice things)
