This is my main character, Homeless Rice Ninja, a living rice ball. He/It finds getting a job in his field difficult because he’s so good at being a ninja that there is no record of his feats from training. He was evicted from his apartment. (His former landlord is a key lime pie.) He’s made of rice, seaweed, and a secret filling.
My take on anthropomorphic food is unusual in that I don’t use eyes, though HRN has a design aspect to give the effect of eyes: His head is a triangular onigiri wrapped in seaweed, and the seaweed has eye-shaped cuts in it. That’s my spin on the blank white eyes common to comic characters.
I made this piece last year, but just today I made some adjustments.
The inking was made in CSP, and everything else was made in Krita.
