Thank you! A lot of that is actually a result of the brushes texture, which can be strategically used by up sizing your brush to a very large size, then just smoothing out some of the texture to make it a little more life like. Here is a link to brushes that I used here. Note; one of these downloads is free and one is available for purchase, idk what the difference is, I have only used the free version.

Memileo Impasto Brushes

[banner_01] Thick paint/impasto style RGBA brushes. Here are some brushes that tries to imitate some thick paint features. The light direction is baked into the animated brush tips to make it appear as if the light shines from a fixed angle (roughly). After about a year of experimenting and tweaking these off and on, I think they are done. Big thanks to everyone who gave feedback and for the wonderful paintings posted in the WIP thread. And thanks to the excellent Krita developers…
