How can I make my work smoother, cleaner?

I use a ton of brushes. And mine looks like a blotchy and scribbly mess. Like, if you see some of my pieces like this one, Anime Fixation - My Crossover Fanfiction between DBZ and Inuyasha, yours looks smooth, clean and accurate compared to what I got. Not mention, blended in very well. Like, do you even do any line art? And how do you do your backgrounds? Like, the clouds, water and mountains as you did?

I don’t know. What would you suggest for any future artwork that I may do? You seem to know how to use brushes more effectively. Mine’s kind of like various patchwork (at least to me). lol

@Lindorxz
I moved your question into its own thread as it would have taken the conversation off-topic where you posted it.

But I was asking that person who did that piece how they do their own art style.

You can tag any person in a post by adding the at sign in front of their username or you can even insert a link to their post so that they know which image you’re talking about but you cannot hijack an artist’s post to ask questions about your artwork.

Forget it. I’ll go to another site and ask. Clearly, being interested and asking for suggestions from other artists on how they do their pieces isn’t a thing here.

I’ll be sure, that whenever I see a piece that I like on here, I’ll just say “Awesome” and leave it at that.

Many people ask for advice here. You are welcome to do that as well. You just need to create your own topic to ask for help. That keeps the original thread on topic in the artworks category and places your question in one of the “help wanted” categories.

use simpler brushes, watch lots of tutorials by people with similar art styles and practice practice practice. that is really the only way to improve your art. it takes time, patience and dedication. no one can hand you improvement on a platter; you’ll have to put in the work to see the result.

I wasn’t asking anyone to hand me anything. I was just asking about the guy’s technique. Anyway, muting this topic now.

Can you link the thread this was cut from so we can have reference.

It’s directly under the first post.

Thank you sooz.

@Lindorxz by the look of it and the timelapse. There is no lineart used. They used mostly color blocking and the “smooth line” are hard edges that are rendered.
They use initial sketch most likely, then color block, then render. This can be achieved by simple brush such as the basic flow.

Also IvanGilbert answered your query there as well.
