How do bundles work? I lost all my brushes

I made some brush presets in krita and then exported them as a bundle in case I needed to bring them back later. After a while, I made a new one and wanted to add it to the bundle, so I used ‘edit bundle’ and moved the preset in there with the others and clicked ok.

But some weird things started to happen. I restarted the program to check it had worked and the new preset wasn’t in the bundle. I also saw some duplicate bundles in the list with the same name as my brush list, but some stuff added to the end. These ONLY contained that one brush preset. As I had saved it elsewhere, I tried the ‘delete backups’ option with these selected, but when I restarted nothing had happened. I manually deleted them from the bundles folder and restarted and only then they were gone.

Then I reloaded my old bundle, made the brush again, and tried to overwrite my old bundle by exporting a new one to the same place. Krita crashed to desktop, and now my bundle is only that one brush. All my other brushes are gone.

Now I don’t really care about the brushes as I make them all the time, but what’s going on with this program? How am I supposed to make a list and update it? In everything else I’ve used this is so easy but here it just doesn’t work intuitively, or maybe doesn’t work at all.

Yep. The brush management in Krita is one of fewer lacks. To be sure in a brushes, I just backup them manually from krita\paintoppresets\ , or all “krita” folder. In a future it going to be improve, similar topics is discussing. Here the couple of them:

Ok thanks, I will try backing up individual brushes until they have improved this.
