I have painted a mushroomhouse in Aquarell. Now I would like to make similar things in Krita. Can you help me find the right brushes, or any tipps.
Here is my Krita-version of the Mushroomhouse

For watercolor, you should try the bundle from @Pesi, it can be called a benchmark when it comes to watercolor:
You can also try those from @RamonM, you can not say those above are better, but they were always my first choice:
These are for stylus and mouse,
and these are optimized for mice.
For oil like paintings, you want to use the Memileo Impasto Brushes from @emilm, these are absolutely fantastic, but you better do not have a weak PC if you want to use them.
Another fantastic brush set comes from @Draneria, if you like metallic effects then you will love the Metallics by Draneria!
And you can find many other good and very good as well as fantastic brushes in our forums resource area for Brushes and Bundles.
Michelist
Hello @OmaKikismakes, Iâve changed the category of your topic to âArtwork: Traditionalâ which is the correct topic for artwork made using traditional materials and techniques.
It is a lovely painting with amazing detail ![]()
Iâd echo the watercolour brush choices Michelist gives above & also recommend those from Ico-dY who also supplies 'paper" surfaces to paint with in Krita, see a thread here:
I think cost was $8 or something on his Gumroad & you get continually developing updated brushes included, quite a few water colour options within.
Aside from brushes I feel the most important element to gaining something like a watercolour painting experience relies on having scanned paper layers in your artwork to give the illusion of traditional texture.
If you canât scan any yourself then using some from Texturelabs is a good bet.
I tend to set one beneath my sketch with layer blending mode set to multiply for adding a slightly dark papery texture & a 2nd paper layer above all the art set to Overlay or Screen mode to add some highlighted paper texture.
Sorry OP, Iâve not explained this very well- perhaps someone else has a link thatâs more helpful!
Thank you. It is very helpfull for me. I will try it in the next weeks.
