Is there a feature for setting defaults? In this case, I wish to use the Freehand-Path-Tool on a Vector layer. It would be great if the various line attributes could be set ahead of time. Also, I failed to find how to set other defaults such as Text attributes.
As far as I know, that is not possible.
Some Tool Options values are remembered between sessions and some are not.
It looks like the Freehand Path tool options are not remembered.
It’s a similar situation with the vector text tool but that tool is undergoing major modifications and improvements at the moment:
