a plugin is presented for the temporary activation of a (any) tool, this only needs to be accessible via a shortcut, if I’m not mistaken, could this help you? You can find the post in which it is presented here:

It still requires some configuration - basic knowledge how to install a plugin, changing the tools and shortcuts in it (right now they are just embedded in the code), and removing the shortcuts set in krita normally (they override my plugin)

For brushes and erasers there is the plugin BuliBrushSwitch, if and to what extent it could be suitable to activate a script or another tool temporarily, you have to find out yourself.
