I made an account there with the username: bookle and I can’t reset my password. I don’t know where else I could contact but here.
My password is randomly generated and saved in keepassxc. But I lost the password file. Fortunately I still have the old password file but of course I don’t have the krita fund password stored there.
Can someone please help me? I had my account to donate monthly.
I fear that they can not help you with a lost password, because that would be a security risk/breach, but maybe they can help you with your account.
Therefor, I’ll ask those who may be able to help with your account in other ways, because you will be able to provide information to them that proves that it is your account via things like your account number, registration name, the height of your donation and such things. It may take some time, but please be patient.
@adamzaim, however this will be done, you will probably have to clarify this via other, non-public channels, but as said, please be patient and report back if they do not contact you within the next 4 days.
Also, this topic may be moved into a different category of the forum, but this does not need any action from you, it will stay valid.
Thank you! I hope I can get my account back. I do support the Krita project but being able to disable my monthly donation would be nice.
Edit: Also, for those who wants to donate monthly and avoid something like this, you must sign up a kde identity account instead. Because you can reset your password of your kde identity.
Ah, the login system is a mess, because it changed from identity.kde.org to invent.kde.org’s identity provider. The idea has always been to also allow login using other identity providers, like google or so.
The password reset system from invent.kde.org should work; if not, there should be a link to ask for help on the password reset page.
I still can’t. The weird thing is if I try to sign up with the same username and the same email, the funding website knows it exists.
(I changed my email before screenshot to avoid spam)
@adamzaim: Then you should contact the KDE Sysadmin listed on the bottom of that site. Describe the situation to them and perhaps additionally ask them to level up the login/reset system as it is ultimately intended for the various login system branches of one big organization and would certainly help reduce confusion and the number of service requests.
And if all that won’t help, then you should again ask here, addressed at halla. To directly “call” someone add an @ in front of the name like I did it with yours, this is how she will get a message that you pinged her that way, like you got a message that I pinged you this way, when you look in your mail.
Somewhat off topic, but I’m having the same problem with artstation and they are not responding to my emails. I can’t reset my password cause it says my phone # is assigned to another login (maybe a previous username of my own? I don’t know cause they won’t reply to my emails)…
I’m not in a hurry. Again, I do support the Krita project and I did and still do plan to donate monthly. But the more I think about this, the more I worry that others might do the same.
