Importing TTF or OTF fonts?

You have to install it first.
@KnowZero introduced the “ShapesAndLayers Plugin” here, you can download it from here (is a direct download link), as mentioned above at least I have problems with my system to use the current 0.09, it may be different for you.
If you can’t use it for font usage in Krita, like me, then try the 0.07 (also a direct download), it works for me with it. The 0.08 seems to be not officially available. And if the 0.07 don’t do the trick, here you can find the rest of them.

The easiest way to install plugins in Krita is via ‘‘Tools’’ >> ‘‘Scripts’’ >> ‘‘Import Python Plugin from File…’’, then enter the path to the plugin in the dialog that opens (the ZIP files you just downloaded) and confirm it, confirm the next dialog too, then restart Krita and, depending on the plugin, set up the plugin to your liking.
You can find the manual in Krita under ‘‘Settings’’ >> ‘‘Configure Krita’’ >> ‘‘Python Plugin Manager’’ and there click on the entry of the plugin. Unfortunately, not every plugin author is kind enough to provide the instructions.

Addendum: @Guerreiro64, so what? This is Microsoft, what do you expect? I’ve probably already encountered most of the pitfalls, the important thing is to know the ways around them.
