Inktober 2023 - YRH

Hrmm  It’s time for another comic. No memes were hurt in the making of this episode.

This prompt was easy  When I saw “plump”, I immediately thought of Chainsaw Man.

I wish I had more time to finish it properly (like, add a background), but alas, only managed to get it this far. So here’s Asa Mitaka with Kokepi (aka Bucky).

Moments before the disaster… :skull_and_crossbones:

PS. Apologies in advance, but I probably won’t have time to post tomorrow… I’ll be out of town and without my equipment :frowning: Maybe I can catch up later.

Hi again. Trying something more stylized today. This is just a random character, but I wouldn’t call it “original”, because it’s just a bunch of isekai cliches thrown together :joy:

I can’t seem to finish anything under 2.5 hours. The urge to do something more productive like hand studies is strong :stuck_out_tongue: But it’s already number 22… Abandoning it now would feel kind of anticlimactic.

Wow, thank you @Iruhas for liking like all of my posts

Sorry for abandoning the Inktober challenge like this, but honestly, it’s been more and more painful to continue. I didn’t “give up”, rather decided to “abandon it”. I knew I was able to get to the finish line, but it felt like an empty exercise. I chose instead to focus on contributing to Krita code, which should have a more beneficial impact overall than getting a few more pics in here

I feel like my eyes got better recently and I’m being awfully aware of all the shortcomings of my drawings. I really need to spend some time alone doing studies and practice, or at the very least, don’t feel pressured to get something out in time and compromise on the correctness and the quality of the pictures.

I mean, Inktober was fun and I managed to do a few cool things here and there, but yeah, it’s time to put in some more effort. Cheers!

You’re welcome, I really enjoy each of your works and the unique stories behind them. :kiki_love:

I understand the plight of people who take part in challenges especially inktober and I too have tried the Inktober challenge every year but always stopped halfway. :kiki_laugh:
 you’re not alone

don’t give up on finding the perfect waifu. :kiki_star_stuck:

You have made wonderful pieces, one by one, there was not a single picture I did not like and all of them are now in my automatic desktop-wallpaper changing software.

Yeah - it wasn’t to us! I enjoyed seeing the variety of pics you came up with. Plus - you got a lot further than I did; I basically did one furious scribbling session then forgot about it for the rest of the month…

If you weren’t enjoying it anymore it might’ve been better to stop, but I think it’s easy to forget that whatever you post, other people are probably enjoying it too, even the imperfections. Even just getting a glimpse into a variety of worlds and artstyles can be inspiring.
And with something like this with the daily prompts, just coming up with a response to the prompt on the fly is an achievement, I think.
