The forum search works kinda good
Just saw mixbox in action Mixbox - Practical Pigment Mixing for Digital Painting (scrtwpns.com)
They say it’s really easy to add, and I would love to have this mixing along with RGBA smudge brushes.
In the test demo itself colors already feel extremely fun to play with. My brain fills with excessive amount of dopamine thinking how RGBA workflow may change because of the mixing.
There have been numerous requests to implement the MixBox mixing method into Krita by others, but the problem is that MixBox has an incompatible license. I would like to developers/leaders of Krita to try and reach out to SecretWeapons. Everyone would benefit from it.
Response from SecretWeapons team:
"the Mixbox license is incompatible with use in Krita. The Mixbox code on GitHub is provided for non-commercial purposes only. Since users can make profit by using Krita, and Krita itself is curr…
I saw a software called Mixbox that make pigments behave like their real life paint counterparts and I would love to have this in Krita. However, the developers of the software claim the only way to implement this new blend mode is if the developers of Krita themselves add it in. I’m not a programmer and I’m sure other artists other than myself would love to have this, so could this ever be done? Is there a better place or platform to suggest this?
“add-on” in question:
tl;dr: The interest is there but the license of mix box and the patented algorithm made it impossible for Krita to implement, even if there were developers with time to work on it.
