Hi everyone,

I’m a French hobbyist who loves to draw and makes digital art in my spare time. I’ve been using Krita for a while and I love this software. I discovered this forum by chance and realized it was rich for news, sharing, resources, etc… I signed up to see what other Krita users were up, learn a few things about the tools and to share my creations.

Nice to meet you all, can’t wait to see some amazing stuff

Welcome, @DatRenard.

Hello @ers and welcome to the forum

Krita runs on Android tablets and there are many people here who can advise you about that.
Just create a New Topic with a suitable title and category and ask for advice

Hi! I’m Willow! I’ve been using Krita for about two months now, but never made an account so I’m making it now.
I like drawing traditionally, so I got Krita just to try and branch out.
I draw cartoon-ish characters and I don’t like drawing things for people.

 Hello @Willowwood123 and welcome to the forum!

Then I hope you like our little community here.
That you do not paint for others is somehow sympathetic to me, I usually do not post my pictures¹ and on commission I do not paint either, okay, occasionally sections of my pictures can be seen in screenshots for the forum, but I think that does not count

My name is Karola from Germany. I am a hobby painter, now retired with lots of time for new paintings. Traditionally I love pencil and gouache, but I also have experience with several drawing programs like Painter, ArtRages or Clip Studio Paint. I was very annoyed about the new payment methods of CSP, so now I switched to Krita. And what can I say, I am very enthusiastic. I am looking forward to the contacts with you and to much experience growth.
Kind regards Karola
(Sorry, my English is bad, so I use the translation software Deepl)

 Hello Karola and welcome to the forum!

You are not the only one here who works with translation software, such as DeepL, and I often prefer that to someone delivering a completely incomprehensible puzzle of letters. I do recognize that these users really make an effort and try to explain their concerns to us in English. This deserves respect and is worthy of all honor! But unfortunately often incomprehensible.
If you ever find yourself in a situation where you think a translation by DeepL is incorrect, please include your original text in German. This way you give the other users the possibility to have it translated by other translation software, and native speakers, like me, will know what you are talking about.

If you want to find out more about a forum member, you can find a small biography or other informative information in some profiles.
I wish you that you will have a lot of fun here in and on the forum!

Hello @KarosPaint and welcome to the forum

Welcome, @KarosPaint.

Hello!

I’m Eduardo Tello (Ed.)

I have been using Krita for a while now and I love it. I use it’s pixel-art and animation capabilities mainly but I also use it to make watercolor art and other more traditional digital illustrations from time to time.

I make pixel art using my trackball mouse but when I use watercolor or other techniques I use a Wacom cintiq.

I’m trying to make videogames for a living using free and open source software (Krita, LMMS, Famitracker, Godot, Openshot Video Editor, Blender, etc…)

I have a new Youtube chanel Youtube presentation I talk about the progress on my game there.

If you would like to check out the game (it’s free) you can find it in my Patreon, You don’t need to subscribe to download it. Patreon

I will make a separate thread for my game where I hope to post progress reports (about how I used Krita) and hopefully receive some feedback.

I read the code of conduct and I think i’m not infringing on any of the rules; if I am, please tell me so so I can rectify.

Have a great day.

Ed.
