Hello! I’m Guaros, A small artist new to the world of thinks like comic creation and Art Commissions. I am on the younger side of things, and I am Autistic (Yay). Art is what I love Art is what I do. Generally, I am kind of a mess, but I try to be nice, happy, supportive. I am just trying to make a place for myself in the world and hope to make friends and interact with some dope people.

Hello @Guaros_Angel_Prod and welcome to the forum

Many people think that I’m a dope and you’ll probably interact with me eventually.

Hello everyone! I paint for fun, mostly guided instruction using acrylic and watercolor. I have recently moved to a digital approach for portability and to save money. Before Krita i was using ibis paint x but not getting all the effects i was looking for so my hubs found Krita. I am very happy with the brush selection and the effects. I use a Samsung Galaxy Tab 8 Ultra with an S Pen AND I’m getting frustrated trying to figure it all out. Hoping that I can find the answers i need here. Are there any other Samsung

Everyone’s artwork is so amazing!

Hello @Mandeeloo. Welcome.

I use an Android tablet but nothing as fancy as the Galaxy Tab 8 (I use my finger to draw on it - lol). My main Krita is a Windows setup but I’ll be happy to help with Android anytime. Also @CrazyCatBird is on Android and often helps people on this forum.

Giggle, it seems to me my environment apparently views me similarly to the way @AhabGreybeard is viewed by his environment, and interactions cannot be ruled out in my case either. :joy: But don’t worry, I don’t bite, I’m just a grumpy old man.

Hello there, I am otherwise a quiet person and I’m just a draw-er for fun

I prefer FOSS tools, including Krita for 2D, LMMS for beats, Blender for 3D, Kdenlive for video, among others, on top of Debian.

Welcome, @Armadium.

Hello everyone,

I’m Jon from the Hague, The Netherlands, and I work as a freelance illustrator and graphic/digital artist. I’m currently incorporating AI tools into my workflow, viewing them as helpful tools rather than competition.

It’s great to see more people utilizing this amazing software. I recently got a new workstation and I am eager to learn more, share, and potentially contribute to Krita.

Now, let me tell you about my unique setup. I opted for a truly open-source workstation, which includes:

  • Dell Canvas 27" with totem and Powerknob: Contrary to popular belief, it performs well under Linux. It does not use any parts from Wacom; instead, the touchscreen and stylus are provided by a company called Advanced Silicon S.A Cooltech. The stylus supports rotation and tilt, and it also has additional features such as 10-finger touch, which are not supported by Windows or Linux. You can find more information about them at https://www.advancedsilicon.com.

  • Asus Prime Z790-P

  • 128 GB Memory

  • 13th Gen IntelĀ® Coreā„¢ i5-13600K Ɨ 20

  • IntelĀ® Arcā„¢ A770 Graphics (DG2)

I’m running a custom version of Linux (6.2.0-27-generic) with a bare installation of Ubuntu 23.04 and Gnome 44. Krita 5.3 Alpha ,

Feel free to reach out if you have any questions or if you’d like to discuss anything further.

Best regards,
Jon

Hi fellow Krita artists,
So here’s my introduction: My name is Noud Hovius and I am (very) new to this site (and loving it).
I am a dutchman of 61 years and have been writing and composing music en words for over 45 years now. I have always been very interested in visual arts and have made several videoclips to my music. About two years ago I started to feel restricted by the possibilities of telling my stories on camera and that’s when I started exploring animation. Of course I ended up using Krita, no need to explain that, right?
Recently I finished my first animated video to the song ā€œBrothersā€. I’d love to upload this and I will do so as soon as I figure out how that works. Maybe a link does the trick? If so: https://youtu.be/YxdvzTAgt6A?si=K_CM9qTd1tmZHLpa

ā€˜Brothers’ topic: "Brothers"

I expect to ask some questions on techstuff but I will read the threads first.

Looking forward to being in contact!

Hello, everybody! It is nice to get to meet you all. I am new to the digital art world and have only been working with/ learning to use this wonderful program for a few months now. I have been drawing/painting for nearly all of my life and am discovering the digital world later in life now that I have the time and the means to do so. Every day is a fun and new discovery and full of many ā€œfirstsā€!
