Fabulous piece, i’ve just discovered it thanks to your nomination for the april-may best of krita artists. What an awesome painting you made there.
Thank you very much @DavB!
Really fantastic. I love art, and one of the things I truly admire is that pictorial and realistic finish like in the paintings of Rembrandt, Rubens, Carl Bloch, and Frans Hals. I remembered them thanks to this illustration, and I love that it’s still seen today. I admired this work, and you have motivated me to keep learning more <3
I’m glad this work had such positive effect on you, thank you for the kind words! I love painting and painting history itself but my heart is a baroque one also
Keep going, cheers!

“King-under-Leaves
Before the feast, before the dancing and the pie contests, there must be a king.
Crowned beneath the Sacred Willow, on the ruined throne of emerald and gold, the halflings name their Woods Regent—a pageant of smoke, music, and laughter masking an ancient rite.
Some say it’s all in jest. Others whisper that one day the true elven king will return through the Glimmerdeep, reclaim his crown, and bow in thanks to the halfling who kept his seat warm through the ages.
Painted in a traditional manner using mainly RGBA and memileo brushes, this piece draws from baroque influences—indirect painting, dense storytelling and brushwork in the manner of Rubens and Velázquez.”
I don’t if it’s possible, but can you add my instagram and/or artstation links to your post?
Thank you very much again!
@canedo

Hi @Dima! Thank you very much for the nomination, support and vote!
Thanks.
I’m only able to add the link to this forum so I didn’t include any other of your social links. Sorry.
No worries @sooz! I didn’t think it was possible, but I thought it wouldn’t hurt to ask
Thanks again!
This is so beautiful. My new wallpaper is so I can admire it every day.

It’s @canedovisual on Instagram and Daniel Canedo on Artstation (don’t know if I’m allowed to post links to both here). I usually post much more and answer quickly on artstation though.
Yes, you are allowed to do it. A good place is your profile, because anyone can find them easily there. You get there after a click on your avatar in the upper right corner of the page and then clicking on the bottom symbol representing a person and find it under Preferences
