Hi, I’m new to this forum.
I’m wondering how close Krita can come to get thick paint on the canvas?
By thick I mean a lot of thick paint built up on the canvas.
Is there a way to do that in Krita?
I even try the new RGBA brushes, but it does not look like big thick build up of paint.
Thanks for any ideas.
As far as I know, the user, @Mythmaker, has found an alternative method of obtaining an impasto effect similar to the thick paint effect you desire, but his effect may not be exactly what you are looking for. Experimental Still Life (Clone Brush + Impasto Effects) 🤓
As far as I know, Krita does not yet have a true impasto engine, but this may change in the future.
I see, okay, thanks for the ideas.
I’ll look further into the link you provided.
Looks like some techniques to explore there that may get a little closer to
the kinds of thick paint results I’m interested in.
Sometimes it’s so nice to have that thick built up oil paint look.
Good to know it may be coming at some point in the future with Krita.
Thanks again!
