Krita is "leaved" when I touch it with my pen

Krita: 5.3.2.1 (I tried the AppImage and Flatpack version)
OS: Ubuntu 26.04 LTS
Tablet: XP Pen Artist Pro 16" Display (Gen 2)
Pilot: XPPen Linux 4.0.13-251226

Hello everyone!

I have an issue with Krita right now, I can’t use my tablet to draw with it.
Here what happen:

I can use my tablet with no issues everywhere (Magma on Firefox, or Gimp for example), the pressure is recognized and all.

But as soon as I use my pen on Krita, it is detected by Krita as a “”[ ] Leave “” command.
It’s a log found with the “Log Viewer”

It’s the first time I meet this issue, I just had to reinstall everything recently (OS and all).

Thank you, indeed I’m also with this version of XWayland.
Do you have any ideas on how to proceed a rollback on this package?

It appear they removed the 24.1.9 from the repo.

So, indeed! It was a bug with Xwayland. It is corrected when you follow those intructions:

I have a solution, the analysis was right, xwayland was the issue, for some reason I cannot download it via “sudo apt-get install xwayland=2:24.1.9-1” But i managed to download the .deb and run it with “sudo dpkg -i xwayland_24.1.9-1_amd64.deb” Krita works now. Now I just hope it didn’t break something else.

Small addon to the solition, I suggest downloading 2:24.1.12-1 : xwayland package : Ubuntu instead of going back to 2:24.1.9.-1, sounds like this version won’t be officially implemented in ubuntu 26.04, but in 26.10, but it works ok with 26.04, and using a newer version means it won’t “upgrade” to 2:24.1.10-1 every time you run an update on ubuntu.
