A few days ago I was looking at some images about old cartoons by Preston Blair and I decided to make a drawing in this style. Very simple. I had problems when separating the color layers by the “split layer” (look here), so I separated manually.
Another problem was the woods in the background: if I left them, the little bird would lose prominence; if I removed them, the drawing would look “empty”. I decided to fade the woods with transparency mask…
