please if someone can help me please do im stressing out…I was going to sell one of them to my client since they asked for it and now I gotta tell them I lost it :frowning:

Welcome to the forum.

What did you do to get 2 of the 3 folders back? Perhaps there’s a clue in there that will lead to finding that 3rd missing folder.

I wonder if you could sort your folders/files by date instead of by name and look for any documents saved on that date. That could be helpful in case you’re not remembering how you named the folder exactly.

I got it back from the trashcan, I looked by date name and even size but its nowhere sadly I even closed my pc and turned it on again but nothing

Could you perhaps explain this? This sound’s like you were working on two different devices like an android tablet and a PC. not a graphics tablet connected to a PC. I’m not sure what you mean by closing the tablet. Normally when you open Krtia, it remembers the files and sows them under recent images (assuming the file still exists or the location didn’t change)

I was using a xp pen 12 tablet thingy connected to my pc, it doesnt need battery you ust gotta plug it in your pc and your tablet and I always save and recheck if its saved then I pull the plug out from the tablet’s side and put it back

So it’s just a normal graphics tablet connected to the PC. Then the file should be somewhere on your PC, if it was saved.

It also doesn’t matter if your graphics tablet is connected to the PC or not you don’t save the file in your tablet just as you don’t save it in the mouse. The tablet is just a peripheral.

Windows has this thing where it can display recent files you worked on in the file browser. Perhaps you can find it there, when you can’t remember how you named the file and can’t use the file search.

Ive tried to search for it even in hidden folders but nothing comes up, the fodler was pinned to quick access and had alot more drawings but theyre all gone every single oneof em

If your files were stored on a classic HDD drive with rotating plates, and not a SSD, then there is a chance to recover your files using a software like Recuva, there are other tools like Recuva, but usually it is reported to be the one that is the easiest to use.¹
Here you can find a lot more of such tools.

It is important to use the hard disk in question as little as possible, as every write operation on this hard disk can destroy the data you want to recover.
So better don’t use that PC until you have restored your lost files, because even usage can destroy what you want to rescue.

This means, if you can, then download and install that tool to a USB connected drive or a network drive, a SD card, a TF card (TransFlash card), or, in case you have one, to another partition on the drive where your ‘deleted’ files reside², but in no way to the partition of the disk where your files to restore are saved to.
The best option is always an external drive, USB, SD, TF (or other similar external data carrier) where nothing can be damaged. If you don’t have your own USB drive, you may be able to borrow one from a friend or family member.

¹ It is also the tool I try first, when I try to remedy such an emergency case.

² If you are not sure if that is the case or what a partition is, then go the USB route.

For the future, you should set up some kind of automatic backup solution, so you can always recover files in case they get lost or damaged.

I have written the following linked tips on how to avoid major losses of work, when working with Krita, several times here in the forum, maybe you consider implementing such a workflow for securing your work done in Krita?

If you then add an additionally automatic backup, like Takiro mentioned, you can raise that level of security even further.

Just downloaded it, Ill let you know if it works and if it doesnt I still appreciatte your help !

sadly it has not worked, i tried it again today and still nothing. I think its lost forever

Oh, what a pity, I would have been very happy for you if you had managed to find your lost pictures in a recoverable state.
