The first thing I thought of was a scene I did a while back. I’m going to create a new painting for this topic, but just wanted to share this example which I think shows what @Rhea_Asma is describing.

A wonderful painting. Yes, it’s a great example of the concept, especially the way it focuses on the chameleon. You can feel the moment.

Does this capture what you were thinking of for “5 Seconds Before”? This immediately popped into my mind when I read it. But as we all know, I have a tendency to look at the briefs in a skewed way. 
Lots more work to do here to make it competition-ready, but this felt too fun to not at least doodle for this month’s challenge.

Yes, it’s truly fantastic, and it brilliantly captured the five-second concept. I also loved the camera angle.
There are also many ideas that would be fun to draw.

Totally off topic… but the prompt made me think of Makoto Shinkai’s animated film “5 centimeters per second.” It is absolutely a gorgeous looking film… the film plot has nothing to do with the prompt, but the film is so gorgeous, it always make me want to draw whenever I watch it…
Anyways… back to regular scheduled programming

What a great contest theme @Rhea_Asma! It brings forward many possibilities.
And @Elixiah your sample painting is beyond mastery!
After reading the contest theme, my late Dad’s stories about growing up on a farm came to mind. Some of his tales were touching, describing an age that will never exist again and other adventures young boys get into, then later in life, with a coy grin, realizing how lucky he was to have survived.
This is an attempt to capture one of those stories, a memory from a late summer afternoon.
I hope I’ll finish it and I’ll leave the ending of the scene up to the viewer to interpret.
