Missing Settings

Continuing the discussion from About the General Questions category:

I downloaded Krita last week, and have run into this issue. i have restarted my laptop, as well as closed out of the program and back in. The section lights up as if the options are still there, however all the words are gone. I am using a x1 Yoga ThinkPad if that helps.

Try to go to settings->manage resources->open resource folder, there, locate a krita ‘xmlgui’ file. Delete that. Krita should then show things again on startup.

We’ve had this before, but we’re still not sure what is causing it.

I don’t seem to have that file. i have an “asl” one, but not a “xmlgui”
