I love drawing dragons. I have been watching BBC Springwatch all month which is a tv show about wildlife and involves watching live birds’ nests all day. The feet were very influenced by the chicks in the goshawk nest who had brilliant yellow claws. The mama dragon’s face was a bit horselike and the baby was a bit like Goldie the Gargoyle from the Sandman comics. I didn’t use reference images this is just the sort of thing that lives in my head. I got a bit sentimental and drew a mama and a very special baby. I kind of based them on Welsh dragons. Celtic dragons are supposed to be guardians of nature, especially bodies of water. I used the c) Pencil-3 Large 4B. And the erasers quite a lot. I used the Gaussian Blur filter on the background too.
Here is my final work, for the challenge.
For me dragons are magnificent when they are fighting each other, in all their glory.

I started out by following the optional challenge of using only one brush but in the end I finished by using all the brushes I love.
