it took me a 5 days to make the shield and I was between an exam
seriously… I was studying but I wanted to participate soooo…
yea.
but its not traced… I just took a lot of time in it.
My entry for March 24. hope you guys like it. I have a hand cramp.
My 2nd entry for March 24. Rock Crystal Faberge egg. The metal is represented by the gold portraits inside the egg. They move like a carousel when you turn the emerald on top. Source image from Wikipedia and can be found in the WIP section.
OMG! I thought it was a closeup photo! You’ve out-done yourself this time @Bobrowsdower ![]()
Aww
thank you. I’ve been out of practice and was trying to really challenge myself this time.
A post was merged into an existing topic: Monthly Art Challenge WIPs and Discussion Thread – March 2024
I’m assuming this was referenced from a photo or actual broach pin! Because to just pull this out one’s mind is otherworldly!
Great work! ![]()
I love this! Reminds me of a Transformer. I will say this type of drawing is something I’ve struggled with for years. I jokingly say that I can’t draw a straight line and it’s somewhat true. That’s why I didn’t participate last month. The idea of drawing buildings with windows and doors is not ideal for me.
Hi everyone.
I painted this for the March Metal challenge. I’m unsure if this is the place to upload it (I hope it is) and I hope you enjoy it. I would appreciate some feedback if any.
Thanks!
It is! Welcome to the community, and also, awesome painting! ![]()
Thank you.
I can’t draw a straight line freehand either @Bobrowsdower! I just use the straight line tool LOL
If I want to draw a straight line, but keep the “hand drawn” look, I’ll use the straight line tool in a low opacity, new layer on top, and then trace it.
Same here.
I’ve been known to use that tool a time or two. Idk if it’s fat fingers left handedness or my anxiety but it’s always been difficult for me to draw straight lines by hand. I’ve literally sat down and drawn 1000s of lines on paper to develop muscle memory but when I try putting it into practice I can’t do it. Mainly why my focus is usually something with rounded edges. It’s just more natural.
It’s a charm that I purchased a while back. I posted a time lapse under the WIP section but admittedly it is not very good.
This is my entry for Krita March challenge.
I have revisited an old drawing I made on paper once, this time the world is a metal one. The Aluminum robot has a copper bird robot friend that sings “row row row your boat…” every time they go for a morning trip in their steel boat in the lead lake in the shadow of copper mountains.
Nicely done, @Gaillycool. Looks like even the umbrella is metal.
thank you. it is intended to be
My entry for March 2024 Challenge. I decided on realism for this one and added a few wild flowers for accent and balance. I always enjoy painting rusty old vintage vehicles. ![]()
My second entry. Like I said in WIP, it’s a remake of an old airbrushed painting I did plein air at a motorcycle show years ago. WAY too tedious work. Much more fun being painterly! ![]()
