Hi @KSB24

Welcome to the forum and to the monthly challenge. At the top of this thread you’ll find a link to the actual challenge. That’s where the challenge details and submission rules are.

Can’t wait to see what you create.

@KSB24 - Before you go too far into working on a ‘real life brand car’, you may want to check out the discussion at the top of this topic about my drawing of a F1 Ferrari 246 Dino with Katamaheen and Mythmaker where they said:

The key point for me is ‘design a vehicle’ which implies creating something from imagination rather than illustrating a real car.

So while making use of a real life brand would seem to be ok, a real life existing car would not be ok for this challenge.

Can’t wait to see what brand you choose and the car design you come up with! :chequered_flag:

Well… I’m back. Had to cut vaycay short because of a gallbladder attack. So, while I’m waiting to get surgery and recuperating, I’ll have plenty of time for artwork :slight_smile: Here’s my version of a Rat Fink Hot Rod I’m working on for this month’s challenge.

I hope you are ok @Elixiah gallbladder surgery is pretty routine, right?

Well, sucks that you had to cut your vaca short. But at least it’s something the docs could recognize and have a clear path forward with. Best wishes for a speedy recovery!

@edgarej It’s considered a routine out-patient surgery, yes

I feel for you. I went through that 2 years ago. The good news is the relief can be pretty much instant.

Had to smile when I saw this. Throwback to my grade school days in the 60’s. (Yeah, Rat Fink has been around for a while…I guess I’ve been around for a while too!). Loved that you picked the classic 57 Chevy for this. Really nicely done. Thanks.

@sooz I just noticed, I don’t see a countdown on the challenge… :thinking:

@Kevin_Manion Right there with ya Kevin :slight_smile:

Thank you so much, @Corentin. I just set the topic timer to match the date/time in the rules section.

Hey @Mythmaker, it’s funny because we had very similar ideas… :laughing: The difference is I never started acting on mine! LOL Cars and mechanical stuff in general aren’t my thing either. I tought about making a goblin on some sort of artisanal rocket with wheels that could either explode or beat records (as usually goblin inventions do, you never know what will happen! Haha!). But I never found the motivation to start. I guess I needed a break anyway…

I’m surprised to not see another entry: where’s @Katamaheen? Are you OK? Where’s your animated car race? :worried:

@Corentin, I made the background of the race, but then I just lost the drive to end it. I also have something else I’m currently working on (a birthday present for my sister) so… I have nothing to show for this month :face_with_diagonal_mouth:

@Katamaheen nice to see you back! :grinning_face_with_smiling_eyes: In my opinion this is already a lot to show, this is fantastic and I’m sure you could have had a lot of votes even with the cars not textured! At least mine! :wink:
