@Elixiah Hope you have fun and able to enjoy everything beautiful and good for you, safe travels!

@Mythmaker Rat Fink… Very popular with the gear heads in the 70s Lol
Oh! ![]()
I’m not familiar with that one!
I presume the name was a spin on Batfink since that was aired in the 60s? ![]()
I have ideas for mine, and done a bit of scribbling. I think my initial vision is too ambitious though so I might go for something simpler. ![]()
LOL He’s terrifying! ![]()
@Katamaheen so it has to be a car… with four wheels? It can’t be any other vehicle? or any other form of transportation for that matter? Imagine a TARDIS race…
A TARDIS race!
![]()
How cool is this then! Congrats for that idea!

Michelist
Well… the idea is to have all kinds of “cars” that could compete in a car race… Cars with three weels could count, and more than four also, as long as it doesn’t look like a train ![]()
If you come up with a boat with wheels, a racing riding mower or a cupcake car, it would go straight to the “completely mad” category, at least in my opinion. As long as it ”looks” like a car. Imagine a race with real racing cars and soapbox car. (These kinds of soapbox cars: https://www.redbull.com/int-en/tags/soap-box-race)
I’m down with an injury of sorts too
I picked up Krita because I can only draw, paint with my non dominant hand right now and can manage with a touch pad/mouse So, my line work is lousy and so is the detailing. But drawing and experimenting in Krita keeps my mind occupied.
Hope you are well @Michelist !!!
Best, Tina
Wow, that sounds like every artist’s worst nightmare! Good on you for persevering.
I love the colors you picked for the background and the light source at the vanishing point, very atmospheric
I guess I am out of the running then (get it, get it, running
)
I haven’t drawn a hover bike in ages, so I decided to start that, thinking it qualifies for a racing vehicle. I didn’t realize it has to be a car with four wheels. So yeah…
Anyways… on to the more important conversation… about that TARDIS race…

PS
@I_J10 @Michelist I hope all is well. Healing hugs for you guys. @Elixiah you better bring back souvenirs
Fun fact, not even all Formula 1 cars had 4 wheels (and I’m not speaking of Ferrari losing a wheel in the pitlane
), there was the Tyrrell P34 a.k.a. “the six-wheeler”.
Thoug regulations later required 4 wheels (as maximum apparently, but less probably never made sense anyway).
I remember those six wheel F1’s. I don’t remember seeing those in a race though, I always just saw them in pics, not in racing videos.
@Katamaheen This is what I was working on before I reread the rules again. Clearly doesn’t qualify
@I_J10, @edgarej, dang it! I forgot about hovering cars
It would go into the futuristic theme… Anyway, cool pic, @edgarej ! They kinda look like dinos, especially the one in front ![]()
@edgarej, by TARDIS, do you mean the phone booth from doctor who? I don’t watch it, so I don’t really know, but from a quick read, it’s a time travel machine? In a race, that’d be cheating, wouldn’t it?
Unless you meant something else?
Thank you, Tina, although I miss my hands too:
et seqq.
I’m fine.
Michelist
@Katamaheen yes TARDIS from Dr. Who! That is what I meant. My comment is actually a joke… but then it did get me thinking about how time machines would do a race? you get on the delorean, I get inside TARDIS, we set destination to Jan 8, 1592, Paris France… who would win? How would the winner be determined?!?
It would be a mighty fine concept to illustrate ![]()
It’s indeed literally impossible to establish a winner because the time-travel ability circumvent the very definition of a race: a race is a trial of speed, and speed is a ratio between distance and time. So there’s a logical impossibility to make a time-travelling race! ![]()
As the All-Star break approaches in Major League Baseball (USA) I figured why not doodle up a Cool Ride for the festivities! And of course, this goes straight to the “completely mad” category! ![]()
I’m still trying to think up a fun logo idea for the optional challenge…
Cartoon Announcer: “Mr. Fastball flies off the pitcher’s mound riding his jet-engine powered baseball bat! The batter is going to need a time machine to hit that one, Mr. Fastball speeds by him before he even starts his swing!”
Added some lighting and the field’s grass… still thinking of sponsor logos
Font:

What I have for now; NASCAR race! At first, I wanted to have the engine sticking out the hood (no idea how it’s called) but the perspective change would have been a little more complicated
I don’t have much experience drawing cars, so I hope it doesn’t look too weird.
These are not the end colors, I always do that to separate each different part so there’s a big chance it’s gonna look very different when finished. Although this time, I won’t be using a palette, but @Suzuka’s plugin:
Let’s see how it goes! ![]()
