Move onion skin frames (out of peg)

I think this one it is quite well known by the animators:

be able to move, rotate and scale the frames we see on the onion skin mode (you only move the light table version, not the original draw).

as animators we need this to keep our characters on model

in tvpaint it calls: OUT OF PEG
in harmony it calls: SHIFT AND TRACE TOOL

+1. In clip studio paint it is the animation cells palette.

+1 it would be so helpful

 Hello @Oleg_Linetskiy and welcome to the forum!

Nice that you like this feature request. To show others your support for this feature, we have here in the forum the possibility to vote for it, you do this at the top of the page of feature requests.

Otherwise, I can only recommend you to read the Terms of Service and the Code of Conduct, to find via the hamburger-menu on top of this page. In this forum you can make yourself extremely unpopular with certain things, bumping, so these +1 things, is one of them, we are here very concerned about compliance with these rules and netiquette.
Because of bumping here have already been exchanged unpleasant arguments, well, and one can avoid it

And now I wish you a nice time in the forum and a lot of fun with Krita!

Hi! I am new here

This is one of the functions that I have always missed in Krita, because it is based on a very useful technique to do a professional job in traditional animation on paper, for which I have already voted!

+1 it would be rly helpful

 Hello @_Shuzu, and welcome to the forum!

It’s nice that you like this feature, but if you want to support it, then you do not have to post the informationless and meaningless “+1” in this forum, for this the possibility of voting was created here. This way you can vote for a feature request with the voting function, this happens on the top left next to the headline of a feature request.
We believe that posts should also add something new of information value to the topic, but with time you will surely get used to the customs in this forum, we are a lovable bunch with our very special peculiarities

If you need help, don’t hesitate to ask your questions here in the forum. Here we can help most users, sometimes it takes a while until “the right” user sees your question to support you, but don’t let the waiting time discourage you, you will not be deliberately overlooked here, the helpers here still have a life besides Krita and this forum.

In this regard, it helps the helpers a lot if you let them know which version of Krita, and which operating system you are using, i.e. Linux, macOS, Android, ChromeOS or Windows, whenever you ask for help. Likewise, they can help you better if you describe your difficulties as well and in as much detail as you can, remember we can’t see what’s not working for you.

The well written, informative and readable, manual for Krita can be found here:

You can also access it directly from Krita by pressing F1 in Krita.

You can read more about this forum in short form in the FAQ of the forum, there you can read, for example, how we imagine the interaction in this forum. If you want to know more about how the forum works, just scroll to the bottom of a page to find links to the (sometimes more extensive) topics “About”, “Code of Conduct”, “Terms of service”, and “Privacy”. These are topics you should take a look at if you have some more time.

Have a nice day and enjoy this forum and have fun with Krita!

So you mean a transform to another frame present in the onion skin ?

A post was split to a new topic: I would like a ‘light table’ for animation

Hello @EyeOdin
I’m not very good at English, so I left you a video where Toniko is using this technique to achieve consistent animation.

I think this request would be amazing. I just download the latest version of Krita and looks amazing. Congrats to everyone involve.
Shift and trace

Greetings @Animoon and welcome to the forum.

However I just wanted to say I am not part of the development team for krita, I am just another user.

I just noticed that the Reference Image Tools is great for this, just copy what you need to “get of peg” and Paste as Reference Image (Ctrl+Shift+R), adjust opacity in the tool options if needed.
