when opening a numerically ordered set of files or even alphabetically the sequence they are opened in tabs is does not respect any order. This causes a lot of confusion when wanting to edit animation sequences.
This is indeed easy (I guess… though if every one is in different thread or something, it might not be as obvious as it appears to be) so I’m gonna add it to my list here: Beginner coding tasks in Krita: easy and short feature requests, ready to implement but I wonder, why do you open PNGs in separate documents instead of using the Import animation frames entry from the menu? Should it be improved somehow?
not always they are serialized files to be imported easily as frames. this case I verified it easy that has no order since it was animation. I ended up open it in Natron to do the operations I needed, overkill but works.
The annoying thing about importing as animation in Krita like a lot of things is that you can’t click on anything if no document is open. The same philosophy as many dockers are Not inactive if No document is active. So I had to discover this was closed like one of them even though it is a Import.
I will probably be doing something for this honestly, I really have no more patience for all these weird locks.
