Hi, my last personal works.
I really like the hair (file name Laurent) and the square highlights in his eyes. I’ll try to reproduce something like it.
did you use liquify or move brush to get the hair that wavy? it almost looks like you did the hair in a 3d program then touched up in krita. Come to think of it having a 3D software that specializes in that would be cool.
i tried using hair-like brushes and then use the transform warp tool with mesh mode. the red circled part shows a nice wave i was able to create. I’ll try and practice that, see if i get better
Hi, I don’t really remember how I did it ^^, but I think I used “RGB” paint brush+Liquify(invert).

Great~~ ![]()
Thx ;).
Why don’t you post each painting separately? It’s a bit sad to see such great pieces hidden in a thread…
Oh, I didn’t mean like that… I meant not hidden in a thread, as in you should post it as a solo post! (The Topics > +New Topic way)
In this thread, all new art you post is hidden behind the first picture, so unless someone clicks on it, nobody can know if you posted a new painting or if someone simply commented on it.
Ho, ok, sorry. I don’t want to pollute the forum with untimely self-promotion, I should edit my first post.
I don’t think that it could be seen as polluting… The Artwork category is made for that! At least, it says so in the category’s description:
“Post your latest Krita artworks here. Request for critique from fellow Krita artists. Every artwork is unique so don’t be shy to post yours. Let the world know what you can do with Krita.”
I mean, look at your paintings; you definitely worked hard to be able to create something like that. So even if it is a quick sketch, a followed tutorial, something you’re working on or a painting that took days to make, if you want to share it, share it. Don’t think of it as polluting!
You don’t pollute the forum, as already stated by @Katamaheen, you present your pictures in the light they deserve, don’t be shy, there is no reason to. ![]()
By the way, my thumbs up was to encourage you to post your pics separately.
And, if we follow the discussions we already had around this, then it is only allowed to post several pictures into a single Finished Artwork topic, when these pictures belong together, like the panels/pages of a Manga/Comic or Book. Everything else should get its own topic. This is, for instance, that a work can be nominated, because usually a nomination has to name the topic and show the picture of that topic, but with many pictures in it, it will become difficult to nominate a good picture, or even several good pictures that all would deserve nomination.

Ok, thx for the details.
Congratulations! Your artwork has been inducted into the featured artwork gallery row.
May I have your permission to post the winning artwork on Krita’s social accounts (Mastodon.art, reddit, X) and on Krita.org? If yes, I will credit your K-A user name (or a different name that you specify). If no, no problem.
Please type @sooz in your reply so I get pinged.
@sooz,
Thanks, no problem with the credits. My pseudo is “grandgooroo” or my name laurent labede on social media.
Thanks.
Thanks !
I haven’t finished rendering it, but here’s my entry for the CDChallenge.
“Since childhood, this man has wandered the cemetery where both his parents are buried.
At night, he searches for his parents’ murderers, carrying his father’s broken guitar on his back,
using the strings to strangle or slash his enemies.”
