My shading results are still uneven: sometimes they turn out better than I expected, sometimes the results are just average or I’m not happy with them at all…
Two things help me (and maybe you too): first, using photographic references (I recommend some here); second, doing a light and shadow study, still in the sketch phase (here’s a useful Krita resource).
