Quick-sketching portraits, trying to get better at focusing on SHAPE, painting only, with no initial drawing step.
It’s tough! Different from how I usually think about “quickly sketching” something.
I used Deevad’s brushes again for these, but like my last painting I actually only used two brushes from the set: the Shape Blocker Textured brush to quickly block in initial shapes and the Wet Modeling brush for everything else.
I really like this combo of brushes! And an exercise like this is a great way to get better at using them. I’ll probably do more of this soon.
