Kimono!

I wanted to paint one of my kimono studies and also wanted to try using some of Deevad’s brushes, so… that’s what this is!

I wound up just using two brushes: the Shape Blocker Textured brush to – well, to block in shapes (with texture!) and then for the rest of the painting I used the Wet Modeling brush.

I really enjoyed that combo, and particularly the wet modeling brush. It was a great middle-ground between the more “digital” feeling brushes and the full-on “tradigital” feel of (for example) the Memileo brushes.

I like the way the colors mix on the canvas, and I like how easy it is to get a hard or soft edge, complete with texture, all with a single brush. I look forward to trying some of Krita’s other “wet” brushes after this!

Good job with it! It’s a pleasure to see what type of soft rendering you obtained with it.

Thank you so much!

Also, by the way: as someone who’s new to Krita and to digital art generally, a giant THANK YOU generally for all the fantastic resources you provide the community, @Deevad! Your videos, blog posts, brushes, and other resources have been a huge source of help (and inspiration!) for me since picking up the stylus. (Especially as a fellow Linux user )

Merci beaucoup!
