Free gradient maps for Krita! I wanted to make a Gradient Map set for the community since I donāt really see any made for Krita, and there are not many default Gradient Maps. This set includes over 90 gradient maps to help you bring harmony to your drawings, help you experiment with colors, or are simply useful for more starting points to tweak and make your own gradient maps! I intend to update it with even more Gradient Maps in the future!
The gradient maps are a mixture of maps I made for my own drawings, or colour combinations I thought were beautiful and that I can quickly iterate and scroll trough to get ideas of what colour combinations I might want to add to a piece!
Instructions on how to use Gradient Maps are written on Ko-fi, Github and Gumroad for those that are new to them. I also want to make a tiny video about it for my upcoming Krita Tips series some time next year
Thatās great !
Recently saw this kind of free gradient maps in latest version of firealpaca.
Now getting such basic options in Krita will be very useful !
Thanks for sharing this .
Yes, these are only for Krita 5, most will be black in Krita 4! I will update the Krita-Artist post so that too has a bold warning! Thank you for downloading, and I hope youāll enjoy them when the time comes to update to 5
Makes me very happy to hear that you like them @sooz and @fizzyflower!
I have liked using gradient maps a little bit before, but after making the set and having many starting points with colours I like, I have completely fallen in love with Gradient Maps haha. Happy to share that
Hi @Rakurri
I tried to purchase the gradient bundle on Gumroad but for some reason it was not possible (the purchase got freezed in the process every single time I tried). So I downloaded it for free instead. But I would gladly pay for this great resource, so if you have any other method for it, please let me know.
PS. Love the gradients! Very helpful for the finishing colorgrading of my drawings.
Hi @Rakurri Sorry, but I canāt get these to show. Have tried both gumroad and github versions, twice, lol, and done the bundle install correctly, but nothingās showing. Iām on Linux, using a plus appimage from earlier this week. Bundles are working fine in it, both creating and importing, so Iām not sure whatās happening.
My 5.0.6 appimage imports them fine as a bundle or as individual gradient files.
The May 14th 5.1.0-prealpha appimage shows that itās imported the bundle but they donāt appear in the Toolbar gradient chooser.
(That false appearance of success is probably another bug.)
Also, it says it canāt open them as individual gradient files.
Please raise a formal bug report and post a link to it here.
Thanks @AhabGreybeard, and, yes, Iāve also tried extracting and importing the svgās, with the same outcome. Will go and do the bug report and post back.
Have just downloaded the latest appimage, containing the svg/importing gradients fix, and itās working perfectly. Thanks to Krita for the fix, and the gradients are awesome @Rakurri ⦠thanks again!
Thank you @Rakurri for these, I recently found about the gradient map feature and was disappointed with how much there originally was (I know they are customizable but I didnāt understand the menu very well) however I do love the amount you made for this. I love having such a large variety of brushes/gradients/textures.
Thank you very much! This will help a lot. Last year ( around November ) I switched to Linux with a dual boot, ( because Windows 10 finally got on my last nerve ) I have been trying to learn krita, but I am slow at this process, Iāve used Clip Studio too long⦠So I kept finding myself regretfully loading windows 10 to go to CLip Studio for a gradient back ground etc etc⦠certain brush effects and so on⦠I am slowly moving away from needing most of those things as Krita advances, but this alone has saved me hours of headache, these are great! I wish Iād have seen this sooner⦠or thought to just google ākrita gradients downloadā hehe⦠alas.
