Share your painting Setup!

Oh, it’s super easy:

First of all, head over to the github page, you can search it.

Click on the green button “code” then “download zip”

On krita click on tools > script > import file zip

It works on snaps flatpaks appimages and on windows

Edit: don’t forget to restart and install python3-pyqt5-svg (if you’re on linux, the name strictly depends on your distribution)

Edit2: Download python3-pyqt5-svg ONLY if you use Linux.

Ok! with all those setups, I prepared my ultimate setup!

Ready to see it!?

I:

  1. Added the artistic color selector as in Nin’s Setup
  2. Put the toolbar on the top, like in CrazyCatBird’s setup
  3. Added Pigment’O plugin like in zam_zam’s setup, (Removed because it’s too slow for my PC.)
  4. Added the scratchpad docker like in URAVERAGEBOI’s setup.
  5. Optimized the space for painting like in Kynlo’s setup

That’s what I meant when a beginner could learn by this thread.

That looks good!! How do you change the Pigment O color display? I see many choices P.Color…etc

You mean the model? there should be button in the lower right of the docker, click it, a pop up window should appear. then click on “PANEL” it should be hsv, and choose one of your liking, i chose GAM (gamut)

ahhh I see now!! I clicked the PANEL button and it turned it off and I didnt know there was a drop down list. I was trying to click on the list (P.COLOR 1, 2,3 …) in the Tools-Scripts- Pigment O list ! Thanks very much!

Thanks for toolkit link

The part of my setup that stands out is my foot pedal that I assigned the hand move canvas tool to.

Here’s one with two pedals:. https://www.newegg.com/p/232-009S-00003?Item=9SIA6U666D1911&Source=socialshare&cm_mmc=snc-social-_-sr-_-9SIA6U666D1911-_-11082022

I also try and enter mode that hides the U.I. when I can. The docker under cursor plugin helps with that a little.

Like a piano? Cool! I use instead a little keyboard on my left hand and the tablet on my right

I use similar themes.

Hello @Rice_Glue_Ball and welcome to the forum

If you’re doing blender surface artwork using krita then there are some topics that would interest you and you may be able to give advice about that subject.

You’ll be able to find them by using the search icon (top right of the page next to your profile image) and just look for “blender”.

Thanks for the tip.:smiling_face_with_three_hearts:
I just want to keep the same visual atmosphere, I think the dark tone with bright embellishments, has a lively feeling.

There is a reference to the PS and CSP interface I set up earlier

Hi,I think this is a very intersting subject for discussion.
It can help to learn from the approach used by others and I have already learned a few things from the images shared here by others  !

I am more like a person who always likes to experiment with diffrent things.
I do that with workspaces also and keep changing that according to my mood & requirement.
So generally I use these 5 workspace set ups ( for general art/painting / animation and storyboard/ comics etc).

Hope these will be fun to look at !

Theme is ClipStudio MidGrey from Zoldyako's Themes for Krita v2. I like it because it’s not too dark, not too light, background is completely neutral at 50, and thus doesn’t mess with value/color perception. Of course, it also matches what I use in CSP

In addition to the right-click popup, I use every slot in Ten Brushes and swap them in and out with some regularity
