Shortcuts to toggle Dockers

It’s be great to be able to toggle on/off specific dockers with a keyboard shortcut. If you have one little thing to adjust, but wanna keep a wide and uncluttered canvas, just hit [key], docker shows up wherever you put it last as per usual (likely as a floating window), then closes down when hitting the key again.

Yep. When I started with Krita I was seriously surprised when didn’t find ability to assign hotkeys to a dockers like other menu commands.

This would also help to open dockers when the user is in canvas only mode

Yeah that’s what I was thinking about mostly.
And honestly, there is all that discussion about the popup palette, but this could replace it completely…

I’m trying to maximize my workspace in “canvas only mode” and that how it looks for me
There is option to show/hide dockers but its a nuclear one (everything or nothing). Shortcuts to open specific dockers that I could pin to top toolbar and open them when I need them would be great. Right now I’m switching to different workspace and close dockers I don’t need (ugh).

There is an old wish bug which is confirmed for this feature request here in the official bug tracker - 338132 – Add mechanism to show/hide dockers floating using shorcuts

This would indeed be nice. I presume the proposal is that a docker should also retains its position when it is opened again, unlike docker under cursor?

Does anyone know if this has been developed yet?

Can python control this?

No it is not in development as far as I know.

There is a python pluggin which makes docker appear under your cursor. I do not know if it has ability to add different shortcuts

Thanks for getting back to me what is the name of the addon do you know?

I am doing some animation testing with krita at the moment. There is a bunch of stuff that i can see needs to be added and improved upon.

So I would like to collect all the information and put the notes somewhere for the developers to be able to read over.

Probably here

Thanks
