In addition to your overly complicated bezier tool.
Can additional curve tool. that just lets you draw a straight line between two points, then allows you to grab the line at the point you want and then bend it as you please.
As I am using a pen and pad, I am constantly ending up with addition curves and lines I don’t need.
Why does every single art package, make putting in one simple curve so unnecessarily hard?
I just find the Bezier tool almost impossible to use with a one for wacom. And end resorting to a mouse to do the curves… Which then defeats the point of using a pen.
Yes, I have only been using the software for over a day, watch youtube videos on how to do it.
So I think a separate tool is required to simplify the whole process.
I’d make a vector line then use the Edit Shapes tool to drag the centre out then use the resulting control handles to adjust the curvature at each end for fine control.
@SkipRat To increase the chances of this being implemented I suggest that you edit out all negative emotions from your posts, try to keep it factual and focus on the positives of using your preferred way of drawing curves. Maybe add some sketches to show how the user interface should be.
I know it can be frustrating when software doesn’t work the way you would like it to, but borderline insulting the developers won’t win you any favours.
If there has to be changes to the curve tool, I’d prefer the mouse/drawing pen to result in two different pen tool behavior. I don’t see a way of unifying this behavior. Mouse+Pen is inherently more precise than drawing vector lines, and it can even be used to mask out objects in photographs via vector layer with Destination In mode.
