I draw an fan art of some anime of Cyborg 009 for testing this pencils, i got nice result.
It works for some realistic texture of pencils.

Lil bit of abstract nonsense with the Tremble pen from the set. :artist:

Also really neat trick to use the Sharpness with tilt elevation for the tip variation. I was using the Mirror feature for that on my own pencil brushes before but this is much better.
Thanks!

Wonderful style and colors!

New pencils special for colored pencils, i am comparing with a similar real drawing and the result is quite good. but Hey! as always, i am discovering new things. i listen for feedback. What would you expect for SK2 in 2023?

this is my first attempt. I don’t know if this is more burnishing or turmentine over a colored pencil, but works to soften the texture. What do you think?

a tad bit homogenous. not sure if randomness can be added. looks awesome otherwise

yeah this effect is pretty cool

Nice! :+1:t2:

How many people here use real colored pencils? I would like to know what do you think is needed. I listen. Any preferred artist?

I have a friends in twitter who used the color pencils for this kind of drawings, its have ilustrated more than many drawings i am not sure if this could be replicated in this digital media. Here is an example:

I think he used the Mistubishi uni color pencils Nº800.
But seems how amazing was this real color pencils, i kind imagine this could be apply to simple color pencils too. But i am not sure if this could ported in Krita too.

i think is using tilt for sure and by the strokes without texture in it, heavy pressure on a paper without too much texture, but some parts they seem to be very rough so i would like to see a video of this artist working. is possible. Paper+pencil+Pressure+Angle are a combo.

Sorry for the delay.
This could be an aproach example for they used the pencils i cant find videos related with that account since my follower mutual its very shy for recording.
This is the example how they used those color pencils came with english subtitules and spanish too.

This too its another good example

This is another example of the use with color shading

And this is for another way of using the color pencils for lineart the shadows line

In conclussion there is a limited videos they teach how to draw or use the color pencils in traditional, for that kind of work, not sure if this could replicated in Krita for the moment.

it would be interesting to use the inclination to adjust the texture, from what I’ve seen you can get more rigid and softer strokes, I don’t know if you can use tilt+pressure to achieve something similar

for me to mess with the tilt settings in krita are still too complicated so I did an experiment in clip studio anyway

i also think it would be great if there are some different powders effects, like charcoal powder, graphite powder or sepia powder that cretacolor and general is providing. there could be different methods like charcoal powder+water or maybe how casey baugh uses charcoal powder… here i created this portrait using charcoal powder+water to fill background and draw over it. it helps to fill large area with halftones.

I think the best thing for that is the charcoal bundle.

yeah, but maybe its also able create interesting results for both users

well i see people have interest so i have done something really cool. is not pure traditional but it makes easier the shading
It paints and blend like a burnishing or dissolve as requested.

.
About mistsubishi pencils i will investigate later.
