Sorry if this is something that has already been discussed, but is there any way to create a transparent animation without having to render it as an image sequence? Thanks
Hello and welcome to the forum 
Animated PNG (.apng) supports transparency but making use of that in a .apng file depends on support within the application that you give it to.
Some video editors do, some don’t, in my limited experience.
Please read and be aware of this small bug:
451473 – The "Animated PNG Image" export has file extension .png instead of .apng
.webm and .webp are supposed to support an alpha channel but I’ve never done the tests/experiments to see if they do or if anything can use them.
Please try that and let us know what you find.
Is it for passing on to a video editor, the reason you want this?
Hi thank you, and thanks for replying.
I am not entirly sure what an .apng is or how to use it but i will investigate into that. It’s just that when i animate, i sometimes like to add the animation to a background afterwards on a software such as divinci resolve as it allows for better editing and camera angles.
