for this painting I used only my own brushes which I made today. Though it feels like cheating because I jag made a brush tip and then tweaked settings on other brushes I liked.. I love how adjustable Krita is.
Btw whats the easiest way to host a brush bundle to let people use them? Can google drive be used?

Shiny horses are so fun to paint.
You can use Google Drive but I don’t know how. Maybe @sooz will know more @Zabbio. Also I LOVE the image! Horses are my fav animal.

I love that horse, he’s my first and probably my last Got him 19 years ago as a rushed purchase because my dad had bought a horse and the seller of the horse I was originally going to get, decided not to sell. So we needed company for Dacke asap, and Crow was one of the cheapest horses for sale in our vicinity. 5 years old, failed to start racing/trotting, not trained under saddle and wearing one shoe on a front hoof two inches longer than the others where he lost the shoes. Kinda anxious, and I remember thinking “what have I gotten myself into?”. The sellers laughed about trying to train him under saddle, saying he’d just throw me. But, he loaded just fine we got home and our journey began.
He’s the best horse I could ever have wished for, always trying to figure out what I wanted and always taking care of me. (I would not have stayed seated when he spooked for some rock at a gallop without a saddle, unless he actively made sure I kept my balance). We’ve had an amazing time. Unfortunately lost Dacke, his buddy, a few weeks ago. But Crow is now a pasture pet with a friends horse.
Happy to share the pack if anyone finds use for it I like the smudgey paint brushes coming with Krita, but wanted something with a cleaner edge without being too clean.

On the sharing-part, drive works fine.. just go creat hoursf a designated folder ( perhaps there will be more? ) then clock it, choose “share " and you will be primted ti " manage”.. the “manage access”, make it public as “to everyonewith accsess fo the link” , and … then…

For intresst, shafing your link, wilk make people ti have access ti that folder.. the dl.
If you want, you can. Also create a sc “raw” link or a “direct download” ( meaning; when clicking on the link, the file.will download direct, noone needs ti “visit” the folder"

I don’t have much experience with horses, but I heard they could develop relationships given the chance. I didn’t know that it could be so personal, though. That sensitive awareness would make for an incredible bond! That’s sounds so cool. 
So glad the previous purchase of the horse fell through for you! 
Crow got a great home from it and worked out so well! I’ll keep that potential side of horses in mind when I next include one in a story/drawing!

Sure you don’t want to gallop sideways, you are putting more weight on your right seatbone y’know.. ? Ok, then, I’ll carry you!” While I’m sitting there like “Just walk, you know. Forward is fine” lol
Dacke was more “You got yourself up there, it’s your own responsibility to stay seated. But I need a snack if we’re going to be out. (munches on whatever greenery there is nearby) And btw you mistook the road, this one is a faster way home.”

What stories are you writing?
I’m currently working on my second novel, but some feedback from beta readers has put me down. (I need to pout for a bit before dealing with it and rewriting about everything).
Well, to be honest, I’m kind of circulating between a few different ones. They’re unrelated and very different genres. Modern, Victorian, 1700’s seafaring, Fantasy - even an alley cat.
Currently I keep returning to one with a distopian-like feel to it, blended with some steam punk/SciFi overtones. Overall my stories lean into heavy action, not exactly ‘adventure’, more like high drama/stakes with intense emotion for the character journey.
As of yet, I haven’t actually written any. Still working on jump starting the writing process. 
So far I haven’t encountered too many scenarios that would use a horse in my stories. (Though, I hadn’t really considered them a ‘character’ in that sense before)
But, I actually have had an image in mind that I’ve really wanted to draw for a while. It features a horse and its master and while the ‘backstory’ of the image already spoke to that bond and relationship, your description really gave me more insight into what sort of personality I could honestly convey in the image. Which I found very exciting.

Variety is nice
It’s a sequel, and I’m not really keen to keep working on it. I like the world I created but the plot doesn’t follow the usual dramatic curve where everything gets worse and worse. They just encounter problems and solve them, and then I show the world in the meantime. (low stake feelgood, very much different from high stake action lol) I personally don’t mind that because I’m always way more interested in everything around the plot. But, it’s not the norm for a reason. My test reader loved the first part, then got bored and stopped reading.
And honestly, I mostly wrote the sequel because people asked me to (the handful that read the first book). I just don’t feel too motivated.
It’s fantasy btw, a converted werewolf/vampire slayer travels to a new world to rescue kidnapped werewolves and vampires.
I might take a break on that one and write a short story about a filian (species in my world) who lives in a tiny apartment and dreams of saving up for a house boat. There will be a society of vampires living in a boat slum on the river as well, and wealthy witches in spacious neighbourhoods with hired staff. Because why not. Maybe a werewolf who managed to aquire a house in the witches neighbourhood and make them fret about it.
You should start writing though Just pick one story and run with it. Draw up a loose plot and see where your characters take you. Maybe just for fun, write a short story from the horses POV fom the drawing you want to make 
A beautiful drawing. Despite the difficult pose, you managed to convey the proportions as accurately as possible. The highlights of the muscles convey the naturalness and silkiness of the fur.
