So this is a weird one, I do a lot of art in Krita using pretty high file sizes and have had zero issue until now. Where I’m working on a 886 x 1476 size image. Now most of the layers and stuff will let me turn the visibility on and off and adjust them. My cleaned linework layer for whatever reason lags and pops up with the “Waiting for Image Operation to complete.” message with the updating bar that takes a while. Is the layer some how corrupted?
I’m running a windows with a Ryzen 5 5600X Processor, 32GB of RAM and a AMD Radeon RX 6800 which has a 16GB of VRAM. I’m not sure how this small piece is popping up with RAM issues.
Anyone else had similar anomolies happen with Krita? I’ve been using it solid for about a year and a half and this is the first time it’s acted like this.
On the affected layer, right click it and choose ‘properties’
What are the dimensions it shows?
If you don’t have anything outside of the layer you want to keep, ctrl+a to select all, ctrl+c to copy, ctrl+v to paste as a new layer, then deleting the old layer will ‘fix’ messed up dimensions.
I deleted the layer (Did that before seeing this work around unfortunately) which seemed to fix the problem but I think you’re right somewhere somethings went off canvas on that layer and it’s made it read a lot bigger, I’ll keep this in mind if it happens again!
That’s something I need to get into the habit of doing at the end of a project in general but I think there was something on the layer beyond what I was seeing causing the issue so I’ll do this next time to check.
