When are we going to get Krista of iOS?

I have been hoping for an iOS version of Krita for as long as I’ve had my iPad. That was three of them ago. Anyone have any idea of when that might be??

iPadOS and Apple Pencil support

Hello Krita team, Firstly what an amazing tool you have created. Secondly please could you somehow make this available for ipados. similar to how lightroom and photoshop have transitioned also. It’s doesn’t matter how long you take but please have that as a priority. I would love to do a review from the very beginning that you release the software on iPad. I am not an artist so it would be good to see both development in my artistic skills aswell as the development of the software on iPad too. …

In theory, could Krita be ported to iPadOS?

Yes, Apple has written the ipadOS store rules in a way that excludes GPL software. Now, if we could get the agreement of all 600+ people who have copyright in Krita to sign a waiver, we might be able to try to put Krita in the ipados store, but very likely Apple would still refuse Krita because it needs access to the file system. That’s what’s blocking us from getting into the macos app store right now, btw.
