Will the color sliders come back？

The color sliders has disappeared since 4.1. It can help painters to check the value of color and precisely control the value of color. Will it come back again?

If someone steps up and writes a new, working sliders plugin, yes, but we don’t have plans to work on that in the foreseeable future.

Oh, thank you！ They do have some similarities, but Pigment.O doesn’t have krita’s HSY slider. HCY can’t work well with krita’s HSY color picker. I think krita’s HSY color picker is the best because its luminosity and saturation are in line with people’s psychological feelings.

I made pigmento due to the loss of this docker so I feel you on this.

But I should add it had HSL ( L - Lightness) it did not have HSY (Y - Luma) though.

I will give support to HSY makes no sense not too however I am still confident over my choice to have implemented HCY Link

I use pigmento on two windows computers. It was slow for a second. I thought it was a python problem, but other people told me that their plugin is fast
is there a solution?

I don’t know which version you are using currently but try redownloading the latest one, and if it is still dragging you down try the P>K mode on the ON check box, reduces functionality but goes much faster.

Hello, I also like Pigment. O, and I’m using it now.

However, I have done a test before. I use the same color (the color list on the left is the result of HSY, and the color list on the right is the result of HCY). I only change the Y of HSY or HCY, and keep the Y of HSY consistent with that of HCY. Personally, I feel that HSY has a feeling of gradual darkening of the same color than HCY. I guess the reason why HSY dilutes the saturation around 0.5Y is that the human eye is more sensitive to the saturation change around 0.5Y. Even if the saturation change is very weak, the human eye will feel the change is very strong.

to me the HCY variation seems much more rich and natural there.
and both have the same amount of black wow and they are so different to look at.
well at least the math holds up. When I can I will place HSY no worries.
