I use two transform masks to do rotation and liquify at the same time. You could even continue rotating after using the liquify mask
It’s cool that photoshop can do it but this is Krita using different algorithms. Having a all in one algorithm is maybe possible but that would probably need a complete rewrite of the transform tools.
